Rebecka´s career story
"What a clever invention. Why hasn't anyone figured that out before?" This idea led Rebecka Karlsson, a former home care staff and knowledgeable in leadership issues, to apply for the job at Evondos. Today, she is one of our project managers stationed in Uppsala. We asked her to tell us a little about herself and her work.
"I'm an energy bundle and it fits my role here perfectly! My job is to support our customers when they start our service, to help them with their implementation and be with them all the way throughout the journey. I perform training sessions, follow up with the municipality and try to help each one of our customers find the right way of working for them.
How did you end up here with us?
"I am a nurse and have worked in both elderly care and LSS (the Act on Support and Service). Since then, I have studied leadership and organization. When I applied for a new job in connection with moving, I came across Evondos job advertisement and thought – "What a smart invention! Why hasn't anyone figured it out before?" – after which I applied for the position. I thought it would be so good for many care takers and also for the staff.

When I see and hear how happy the care takers are about the opportunity to fend for themselves, I am so happy. Seeing the benefits and gratitude of both staff and patients – it makes it so meaningful.

Customer Project Manager, Evondos Sweden
What does a typical working day look like for you?
"No day is the same! Some days I sit in phone support, other days I travel and perform training sessions for the staff. Sometimes I hold information meetings for unit managers, planners and business developers. Sometimes I'm at a trade show or shooting informational videos, and some days we're sitting with internal planning meetings.
"The most recurring thing is that I support and help municipalities via email and phone, plan and set goals, help with questions and plan ahead together.
What do you like best about your work?
"When I see and hear how happy the care takers are about the opportunity to fend for themselves, I am so happy. Seeing the benefits and gratitude of both staff and patients – it makes it so meaningful. I like to be creative and work in a way that suits me and to meet new people and learn something new every day. We have a supportive team that is easy to thrive in. I like the combination of traveling and working at home or in the office. It never gets boring.
What would you like to say to our customers?
"That we are here for you and we want you to really feel that. We want to help you work smarter and smoother, not harder. I would also like to thank you for all the wonderful meetings I get to have with you! Sometimes you come across someone who is sceptical about our service and I think that it is a good thing; one should question. That's how you develop, and I've learned so much through all the discussions with you. Thank you for that and thank you for daring to try something new!
