Production Engineering Manager
Become our Production Engineering Manager—connecting R&D and production to optimize processes, boost reliability, and advance automated medicine dispensing technology.
About Evondos Group
Evondos Group is the European market leader in medication management, with over 500 employees working in the Nordics, UK and the Netherlands. Evondos' services enable tens of thousands of people who require medication to receive support in proper medication use through our automatic medication dispensers. This improves and enhances patient safety and medication adherence. Evondos helps clients live independently in their own homes, reducing the pressure on home care services, allowing them to focus on more complex care needs.
This is the role - What you will do:
As a Production Engineering Manager, you will lead the end‑to‑end technical lifecycle of Evondos products, from design transfer and process validation to ongoing product improvements and manufacturing excellence. You will act as the essential bridge between R&D and Operations.
In this role, your key responsibilities will be:
Manufacturing & Process Optimization
Lead design transfer activities, ensuring product designs are transformed into validated, scalable, and compliant manufacturing processes
Develop and maintain production processes, tooling, fixtures, test systems, and automation solutions
Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives to enhance yield, reduce unit costs, and improve throughput
Manage production equipment lifecycle: specification, procurement, commissioning, calibration, and maintenance
Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and MDR requirements, collaborating closely with Quality
Lead root cause analyses (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
Maintain validated process states and support risk management activities (e.g., pFMEA)
Design Maintenance & Sustaining Engineering
Proactively manage component obsolescence and qualify replacement parts
Oversee engineering change processes (ECN) to support cost reductions, design fixes, and product improvements
Integrate feedback from field service, warranty data, and production testing to improve product reliability
Lead life extension projects to maintain long‑term product performance and compliance
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and build the Production Engineering team as we scale
Mentor engineers and technicians, fostering strong technical competence and adherence to QMS processes
Collaborate closely with R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality to ensure robust product and process performance
Project & Budget Management
Manage new product introduction activities, ensuring timelines, resources, and budgets are met
Oversee departmental budgets, including CapEx planning and justification for new technology investments
Why you will enjoy it:
Cross-functional teamwork- Work closely with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing Operations and Supply Chain to drive impactful outcomes.
High technical ownership- You will shape how Evondos products are manufactured, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and future-proof.
A role with both depth and variety- From automation initiatives to design maintenance, you’ll face a broad range of responsibilities.
Purpose with real impact- Your work directly contributes to safe medication management and helps people live independently at home.
This could be you
You are an experienced production engineering professional with both a strong production focus and a clear understanding of product lifecycle needs. You have worked in roles where you improved, optimized, and validated manufacturing processes, not simply operated them. You thrive on identifying improvement opportunities, driving change, and ensuring production stays efficient, compliant, and scalable. While you collaborate well with R&D, your core strengths lie in production engineering and manufacturing excellence.
You bring:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical-, Mechanical-, Manufacturing-, Biomedical Engineering, or similar
Preferably 10+ years of experience in production or manufacturing engineering
Strong project leadership skills and cross-functional communication skills
