Are you a tech-savvy student with a passion for embedded systems and high-quality software engineering? Do you want to contribute to a product that makes a real difference in people’s lives every day?

At Evondos, we are the leaders in automated medicine dispensing. Our Medido service ensures that patients take the right medication at the right time, fostering independence and peace of mind. As we expand across Europe, we are looking for a Firmware Development Intern to join our team in Zoetermeer. You will play a key role in making our service truly global by developing the features that allow Medido to be managed, refurbished, and activated in any local market.

As part of the Product Development team, you will dive into the heart of the Medido device firmware. Your mission is to develop the logic that allows our devices to transition seamlessly between different international markets and users.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Device Lifecycle Features: Developing bare-metal C firmware on STM32 to support local device/client activation and regional management features.

• Engineering for Quality: Writing high-quality, maintainable code using Unity for unit testing and CMock for hardware abstraction/mocking.

• Automated Validation: Designing and executing automated integration tests to ensure that activation and management features work reliably.

• Hardware Interaction: Validating your code directly on Medido hardware in our Zoetermeer lab.

• Language: Bare-metal C, with Python for test tooling

• Hardware: STM32 (ARM Cortex-M7).

• Testing: Unity, CMock, and automated integration testing frameworks.

• Process: Gitlab, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.

We are looking for a proactive student who values engineering rigor and enjoys the challenge of building reliable, "production-grade" firmware.

• Educational Background: Currently pursuing a degree (BSc or MSc) in Embedded Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• C Proficiency: Strong foundation in C and experience with microcontrollers (preferably STM32).

• Testing Mindset: You believe that code is only as good as its tests. Experience with unit testing (Unity/CMock) is a major plus.

• Logical Thinker: You enjoy designing state machines and logic flows for complex processes like device activation and refurbishment.

• Communication: Fluent in English (our internal working language).
