Our Medido automatic medication dispenser is used every day by tens of thousands of people, and the cloud platform behind it is a critical part of that service. To support our growth and the international roll-out of Medido, we’re looking for a Cloud Development Manager who wants to build something meaningful and long-lasting, a stable, healthy cloud engineering organisation that works with modern technology and has real impact on people’s lives.

This is the role

As Cloud Development Manager, you’ll lead our cloud development teams, DevOps team, and external development partner. Your role is a mix of technical leadership, team development, and shaping how we work. You won’t be coding every day, but you’ll use your technical background to guide decisions, challenge ideas constructively, and shape direction together with the teams, not from a top-down position.

What you will do

• Build and support a healthy cloud organization as we transition from freelancers to internal team members.
• Work collaboratively with tech leads and developers on technical direction, cloud architecture and modernisation.
• Help the teams grow their independence and create predictable, sustainable delivery rhythms.
• Strengthen cooperation with Product, Support, hardware/firmware teams, and our Nordic R&D colleagues.
• Bring clarity, structure, and calm leadership in a period of growth and integration.
• Contribute to the long-term evolution of the Medido cloud platform using modern cloud technologies.

⭐ Hybrid working with flexibility. This is a hybrid role, with at least 2 days per week in our Zoetermeer office for team collaboration and stakeholder interaction.

This could be you

You don’t need to tick every box, but you’ll likely succeed if you have:

• Experience leading engineering teams or are a strong tech lead ready for a next step into management.
• A solid technical background in cloud/backend development (AWS experience is a plus).
• A collaborative leadership style — calm, structured, and able to make steady progress without forcing things.
• Because this role works closely with our cloud teams, Support, Product Development, and other local colleagues, Dutch language skills are strongly preferred. You’ll also collaborate with our Nordic R&D teams, so good English is important too.
• Experience with Agile/DevOps practices and modern software development methods.
• The ability to translate ideas into practical improvements that teams can actually adopt.
• Comfortable working in an environment with many stakeholders: Product, Support, HW/FW teams, Nordic R&D.
