Your responsibilities
As a Business Controller, you will oversee financial operations of certain Evondos business units and provide strategic insights to business management. With your sharp analyses and strong communication skills, you support the organization in achieving its objectives.

• Contributing to profitable growth by analyzing and optimizing processes.
• Preparing and managing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Managing month-end and year-end closings for timely and accurate reporting.
• Developing and implementing financial policies and internal controls.
• Monitoring cash flow and optimizing working capital and financial performance.
• Conducting in-depth deviation reporting, financial analyses and providing strategic advice.
• Helping business unit management to optimize their results.
• Collaborating with various departments to monitor and achieve financial goals.
• Actively contributing to the growth and development of the financial team.
• Working with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

At the beginning, your focus will be on the Netherlands business unit. The work may require some traveling in the Netherlands and other countries. Preferred location will be Evondos Group headquarters in Helsinki. Other Evondos offices in Finland (Salo and Oulu) and the Netherlands are possible locations as well.

Who you are

• At least 5-7 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of private equity owned, international growth company’s challenges.
• A master’s degree in accounting, finance, business economics, or a similar field.
• Experience with financial software, ERP systems (Netsuite expertise is a benefit) and extensive knowledge of MS Excel. BI tools like PowerBI expertise are a benefit.
• Management accounting focus, but thorough knowledge also on financial accounting principles.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. Finnish or Dutch language is needed in the job. Other languages are benefit.
• Enthusiastic, driven to achieve results and develop own work and financial processes.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
• A team player with excellent communication skills.
