This is the role

The Junior Financial Controller supports the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements. The Junior Financial Controller monitors financial performance, identifies variances, and contributes to process improvements. Ensures data accuracy and timely reporting, helps the management maintaining financial control and transparency. Ultimately, the role supports the organisation's financial stability and strategic growth.

What you will do

• Stay on top of Accounts Receivable:
  Create, send, and track invoices like a pro — follow up on payments and keep cash flow smooth.
• Own Accounts Payable:
  Review and process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and make sure everyone gets paid correctly and on time.
• Stakeholder Management:
  Communicate with internal teams, customers, and vendors to keep operations aligned and processes effective. 
• Level-up Processes:
  Spot inefficient workflows and improve them — automate where possible, simplify where needed.
• Handle Month-End Close:
  Reconcile accounts, prepare reports, and wrap up financials with accuracy and speed.
• Manage Employee Expenses:
  Review submissions, ensure compliance, and process reimbursements without delays.
• Deliver Clean, Reliable Reporting:
  Prepare financial summaries, dashboards, and updates that decision-makers can trust.
• Support Treasury Tasks:
  Track cash positions, assist with bank interactions, and help maintain healthy liquidity.

This could be you

• HBO+ or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field,
  
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in the field (internships included),
  
• Hybrid work style — being in the office three days a week is required,
• Ability to work independently while staying aligned with team goals, 
  
• Strong results-oriented mindset with a proactive approach,
  
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the role and the organization,
  
• Comfortable working with deadlines and capable of setting the right priorities,
  
• A VOG (Certificate of Conduct) will be required for this position.
